FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

what exactly *is* rush?
Rush is a process for all interested ladies at Washington State University to come out and meet the active members of the sorority and find out what the sorority is about. Rush lasts for about a week and is best if rushees attend all rush events to become familiar with the actives and what the sorority is all about. All rush events are free and provided for by the sorority.
do i have to be of an asian ethnicity in order to become a sister?
Absolutely not! While many sisters of Chi Sigma Alpha are of Asian ethnicity, our sisterhood is diverse and NOT prejudice against any ethnicity, race, religion, or other denominations of people.

does it cost money to join?
Just like other organizations on campus, we do have member dues that fund the activities and events you participate in but nothing too out of the ordinary.

DO YOU HAVE A HOUSE?
Although many sisters do live with each other, we do not have a house mandatory for all sisters to live in, thereby minimizing the cost of member dues. Plus, many sisters spend time with each other very often so there really is no need for a house.
Do i need to meet any requirements to join?
We do have a cumulative GPA requirement of 2.7, and to attend a social and informational event during our fall and spring rush weeks!
How many other sisters are there?
Chi Sigma Alpha currently has two chapters:

Alpha Chapter @ University of Washington
Associate Chapter @ Washington State University

Together, we have more than 261 sisters and counting!
We are always looking for many other ways to bring Chi Sigma Alpha to other locations.
